Three Daughters!

When I started writing this book, I had hoped it would be something that fathers and daughters would share and read together. Recently, a father wrote to me asking about getting a personalized copy of the book. He has three daughters, and their family reads books together every night. This reminded me so much of my own family. Growing up, my mom would read aloud to us every night before bed. We also spent many happy afternoons during the summer reading on the porch. Together, we enjoyed the worlds of Harry Potter, Little House on the Prairie, and the Chronicles of Narnia, all of which remain family favorites to this day. And there is no one who does a better reading of Eloise than my mom! It is because of this experience reading together as a family that I love history, writing, and reading. Thank you so much to this family for sharing your story with me! May you have many adventures in reading together for many years to come! You’re never to young or too old for a great story!

What are some of your family’s favorite books to read together? Write to me via my contact page or on Twitter @Catherine_Katz to share your favorite stories with me!
